Truly a beautiful place, Montana!  While moving snow and playing on the snow slide, we encountered just one of the many truly wonderful creatures native to the area.  This moose family was just passing through, trying to stay together, and trying to avoid the snowmobile, snow blower and highway traffic.  This was a family of 4 moose, with mom coming first, 2 younger moose (probably 2 year old), and an older but not full grown male.  Mom and a younger moose came close to the wood shop door about 10' from us while we took shelter within the shop.  Mom took a drink of snow and kept a close watch out for the last 2 moose coming around the side of the shop.  They were examining the snow blower closely, probably wondering 'what in the heck it was'.   After all were together they attempted to make it safely across Highway 20.  Scott, looking a bit silly, climbed upon the 12' tall snow bank next to the highway, waved his hat and tried to forewarn traffic as visibility was limited with the tall snow banks.  They all made a safe trip across and continued on their journey.
